1. Warm up

- Cut out a shark and a school boy or girl from a card.

Draw some steps, the stick the cut out girl/ boy on the top of the steps, the shark is in the sea.

- Draw 5 gaps for the word - favor

- get Ss to work in all class. They have to guess the word. If their guess is wrong, the boy/girl has to step down. If the guess is right, the boy/ girl will get one mark. The game continue untill the students find out the word - favor and the shark can't eat the girl

2. Presentation

- Ask Ss the meaning of the word FAVOR

Unit 6: The young pioneers club

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask for a favors and respond to favors

- Ask for favors and offer assistance

- Text book, cut out shark, cut out girl/ boy

1. Warm up
- Cut out a shark and a school boy or girl from a card.
Draw some steps, the stick the cut out girl/ boy on the top of the steps, the shark is in the sea.

3. Practice
- Ask Ss to copy down the follwing phrases
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to do exercise A3 p62. They have to use th expression on the box to fill in the blanks in the dialogues
- Get Ss to practise speaking in pairs
4. Production
- Set the scene then ask Ss to make a dialogue between Mrs Ngoc and Hoa
- Mrs Ngoc is carrying a heavy bag, but she is hurt her arm so he needs some help
* The dialogue (speak a P55)
A. Your neighbor needs help tidying his yard because he had broken his leg
- Ask Ss to make similar dialogue then practise in pairs
B. Your friend needs help fixing her bike because she has a flat tire.
- Monitor and help Ss to write

- Your aunt wants you to buy some vegetables because she is busy cooking

Your neighbor: Thank you very much. That is very kind of you.
- Make another dialogue and practise in pairs
